Team Biographies

The Taylor Creative team each brings a skill set that complements each other. Over the course of many years this has been a group which has pulled together various diverse projects. A summary of their individual accomplishments is listed below.

Ron’s strength is in being able to take a project from start to finish on time and on budget. He has a wide range of creative talents and uses them to their fullest when sculpting a memorable project out of a bag of concepts.

The President of Taylor Creative is Ron Taylor. He began his career in 1979 with Sask Sport/Saskatchewan Lotteries. In this capacity he acted as Communications Coordinator and held that position for twelve years. This particular organization was a non-profit corporation which was given license by the government of Saskatchewan to operate the lotteries. It also stands as the hub of Sport, Culture and Recreation in the province.

In 1991, Ron started up Taylor Creative and operated in Saskatchewan before heading toward Alberta and a more robust economy. He initially continued to consult, while developing contacts and clients.

An opportunity arose to join the Petroleum Services Association of Canada, as its Communications Manager. This is a trade association for 250 oilfield service, supply and manufacturing companies, which are located primarily in Alberta, but also in other regions throughout Canada. In this capacity, Ron did many of the same tasks as he performed at Sask Sport. These included:

- coordination of all internal and external communications functions of the corporation.
- budget and strategic planning.
- media liaison and spokesperson.
- event planning.
- production of media.
- liaison with the member associations and companies

The opportunity to work in the Oil and Gas industry for two years meant that for a time, Taylor Creative was primarily consultative in nature, however since Ron left PSAC, the company has been providing full communications services since the latter part of 1998.

Some of his clients in this time have include: the Olympic Oval, Mount Royal College, Opulance Magazine, Edmonton Streetworks, BW Technologies, the National Football League, NCAA (US College Athletics), Canadian Petroleum Safety Council, Hyatt Auto Group, Canadian Petroleum Hall of Fame, Fairmont Creek Property Management, Incredible Journeys (travel agency), Canadian Olympic Committee, Oilweek Magazine, Calgary Booster Club, Calgary Petroleum Club, Alberta Motor Vehicles Association, Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, Dale Anti-Flame, the Swiss Consulate and the Canadian Sports Centre, Calgary.

Over 90% of the jobs that Taylor Creative has taken on have been as a result of referrals from satisfied customers. To this end he has utilized a talented team of people to complete these tasks and those team members are listed below.
